Position ASES Youth Development Professional
Locations: Westminster School District Elementary and Junior High School
Seasonal: 2013-2014 Academic School Year
Needed: August 26, 2013 - June 20, 2014

Must be able to work M-F see hours below and will not be working during Westminster School District school holidays.
2:00pm to 6:15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

Wednesday
from 12:30pm-6:15pm (Minimum School days vary by school site)

ASES Youth Development Professional Job Summary

  • We are seeking positive, team oriented individuals who are passionate about making a difference!
  • Work directly with an assigned group of approximately 20 youth, acting as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor.
  • Must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the youth you work with.
  • Ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, will be required in giving our youth the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed.
  • Ensure that youth reach their potential by expressing a tremendous amount of hard work, flexibility, and commitment.


Youth Development Professionals MUST be available to work
2:00pm to 6:15pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and from 12:30pm-6:15pm on Wednesday (Minimum School days vary by school site)

Youth Development Professional ASES PRIDE Requirements

  • Degree preferred, High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required
  • Completion of 48 college units or the passing of a Westminster School District Paraeducator Exam
  • Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate in a public school setting
  • Must pass Background Check
  • Some experience working with a group of 15 or more students in a classroom setting, afterschool, or recreation environment preferred
  • Support our English-learner population by being bi-lingual
  • This is a non-benefited, non-exempt 2013-2014 Westminster Academic School Year position with an hourly rate of $9.00-$11.00 per hour based on education/experience
  • After school staff will not be paid during summer months or when school is not in session.
  • Location: Boys & Girls Club of Westminster
  • Compensation: $9.00-$11.00 per hour based on education/experience
  • Academic year: 08/26/13-06/20/14, seasonal staffing
  • This is at a non-profit organization
